On this monumentally historic day in Jewish history, where in Israel 20 living hostages were finally released from terrorists who held them captive for 738 days, my monitoring appointment went smoothly and results are all well-within mid-follicular phase.
There are notable differences in this FET from previous rounds of treatment. Knowing my body and the length of my cycle, I can easily advocate for myself from a place of understanding and knowledge of what's going on. I remember the days they were making me come in 6 days in a row for endless sticks and prods for no real reason just because it's the default protocol and they love collecting data. Back then I didn't know enough to speak up. In addition, I now have access to ChatGPT which didn't exist when we first started treatment over a decade ago. I have an appropriate amount of cynical skepticism to AI and refuse to feed it specifically personal information, and it can't be trusted blindly because I've caught mistakes regularly, but it comes in handy for some things.
Current events reaffirm my belief that making a move might be a good for our family. A potential timeline for something as big as that move is dependent on the results of this cycle, like so many things that have been on hold for the past two years because of it. So, for now, we patiently proceed and take things one day at a time.
