I called another clinic today to schedule a consultation. My current clinic is rated #1 for reproductive endocrinology. This new clinic is part of a hospital ranked as #1 in the country. I got the recommendation from a friend who recently had a baby girl after three years of consecutive miscarriages and she said they were warm and friendly. I don't know that we're going to switch, but I'd like a fresh set of eyes looking at our situation. Whether or not it's helpful, it feels productive and that's a step toward making me feel better.
I think that is a great idea! It would be hard to move forward with your current clinic since you said your doctor wouldn't want to change anything. I you don't have too long to wait and that the consultation at the new place will go well.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that my current doc won't change things, it's that he doesn't see the need to brainstorm ideas because he doesn't think anything needs to be changed. I guess that may be the same thing. The new doc may see things similarly but at least I'll feel like we've left no stone unturned.
Deleteyes even if the new doctor says the same thing, at least you'd have some reassurance that you are making the right decisions.
