He's here

and he's perfect.

Hope to have a chance to write up the birth story before the details fade but it's hard to type with my hands full, Baruch Hashem. There have been some ups and downs, like an unscheduled c section, a short visit to the NICU, followed by another visit to the peds ER. A long week is an understatement. But the highs overwhelmingly outweigh them all. We have a son and he's incredible.

There have been so many tears over the past week. Mainly tears of unbelievable joy and wonder at how incredibly lucky we are, how so very cute he is, and the profound feeling of gratitude.

It was all worth it. Every single shot, every procedure, every disappointment that got us one step closer to this little guy. We are so, so, so in love.

  1. I AM SO JOYOUS FOR YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!
New babies are such miracles. They are such amazing learners and recognize patterns and changes so rapidly. AND they smell like magic (when clean). Please rest as much as you can and spend your time seeing the marvelous being you have created. So much amazement now present in your life. See the miracle and be filled by the magic and mystery.
    SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!
(also, selfishly, hope you will post more as you can.)

  4. I am so thrilled for you. New motherhood is intense in the ups and the downs but mostly so incredibly magical. There is no treasure on earth like your tiny child in a bassinet next to you, and no thrill like watching and helping them grow into who they're meant to be. Mazel tov.
